Pedro All But a Phillie

For today’s Brett Favre Pedro Martinez update, we’re linking to a few news sources that suggest Martinez will be in red stripes sometime very soon. The Sporting News reports that Andy Martino’s Twitter feed (since when does a professional journalist report news through Twitter? And bloggers are unrestrained barbarians…) tweets to the tune of Pedro’s physical being at 11 a.m. today. Si.com says the signing of Martinez is “inevitable.”
If only the Roy Halladay trade would go so easily…err, boston.com is suggesting Halladay would be very comfortable in St. Louis. The article all but rules out Halladay staying in the A.L. East but makes no mention of Philadelphia as a final destination. Along with the Cardinals, the Dodgers, Angels, Tigers, Mariners and Brewers are mentioned.

They’ll probably try to acquire Pedro LaForest again, and possibly Pedro Incaviglia.
