Yankee Fans Humiliate Themselves

Posted by Johnny Goodtimes on October 29th, 2009

yankee_fan-739206The only thing worse than the Yankees bullpen last night were the Yankees fans. Despite paying thousands of dollars for their seats, multitudes of them left the game early, leaving thousands of empty seats. And they left the stadium with the score 4-0, not at 6-0. Could you imagine ANY Phillies fans leaving in the 7th or 8th inning of a 4-0 WORLD SERIES game? Hell no. “But it was raining,” Yankees can complain. No, it was misting. If you want to see rain, check the highlights of last years World Series Game 5. You know, the one that took place in a stadium that no-one left despite the pouring rain.

It was a pathetic display, matched only by the random Yankee fans who ended up at our table at the bar last night. They were friends of a friend. One of them had a Yankees logo tattoo on his arm. I asked him where he was from and he said, “Harrisburg”. He was wearing ripped jeans and a tie. His buddy fell asleep in like the 4th inning. They skipped on the bill. No kidding. I guess it’s like the old saying goes: “What do Yankee hats and hemmerhoids have in common? Sooner or later every ass**** gets one.” (joke courtesy of Smackdown).
