Great Baseball Trivia Question

Posted by Johnny Goodtimes on October 30th, 2009

halThe first 9 people to win back to back MVP awards make up the 9 positions on the baseball field (we’re just calling them outfielders, not RF, CF, etc.). One of them is the pitcher seen above. Please post any or all guesses below in the comments, and I’ll let you know which ones are right as you post them. Thanks to Mike for sending this in.

  2. St. Almond Says:

…um, what Anthony said (please see above).

    Does this count, Goodtimes?

  3. Johnny Goodtimes Says:

Um, wow. Nice work Anthony. I said “First 9″ so Bonds and Thomas don’t count, but they certainly don’t count against you. And yes, St. Almond, nice backup vocals.

  4. Jon Says:

MLB.com has Schmidt listed as an outfielder in 1980….

  5. Johnny Goodtimes Says:

What? Well considering that he played 149 games that year, all of them at 3B, apparently that’s a typo.

  6. Jon Says:

I thought it was odd…I couldn’t find any reaseon for it either…just thought it was interesting…
