Very quickly on the Tiger Woods sex addition thing: this picture is taken from the Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services website, the center where Tiger is receiving treatment for his, um, disorder. Honestly, if I entered their program with Woods’ condition, this photo would be sufficient to cure me on the spot.

I agree, BMT does need to make classier jokes. Maybe instead of making fun of a recovering sex addict wearing a helmet while climbing a wall (I mean, where’s the humor there?), he can compare Tiger Woods’ sexual escapades to a bottle of Chateau Lafite Bordeaux and Italian White Alba Truffles. Keep it classy, BMT!

picking on celebrities is fine. picking on some anonymous person who’s trying to repair her life is weak and mean. that’s all i’m saying.

I understand. The joke could perhaps be seen as being a bit mean spirited. But I think it had more to do with the strangeness of a Sex Addiction place advertising themselves by having a woman in a helmet climbing a wall than by actually making fun of that particular person. Odds are, they used a model for that photo, not someone actually getting an addiction cured. Usually people with addiction problems don’t try to advertise it on the internet. Except for Lindsay Lohan. Zing!
