This doesn’t really have anything to do with anything, but I found it rather amusing and thought I would pass it on. A guy in Minnesota made a vow after the Vikings lost the 1974 Super Bowl that he would not shave his beard until they won a Super Bowl. 36 years later, he still has a beard. It looked like Favre might convince him to buy a Bic, but a 12 men on the field penalty conspired to keep his chin covered.
A lot of Mets fans made the same deal after they lost the 2000 World Series. They agreed they wouldn’t shave their necks or change their tube socks until the Mets won a World Series. You gotta hand it to them, those Mets fans will honor a deal.
